Hi all, today I would like to tell me a fact that has been happening for a while. Usually happen very occasionally but these last few days has been more constant. It is "Sleep Paralysis" (hereafter PS).
start defining who is a little PS: What is sleep paralysis?
Now I will explain my story: time ago I remember the first time that happened to me was as explained, I noticed that I woke up ... I saw my room around (I think it was a dream, and if it was, it was a lucid dream) and I could not move, I could hardly breathe, more the result of the anguish that was going on than anything else ... In a nutshell ... I crapped up. At first I did not give importance and continued normal until I happened again, so I started looking for information and came to pages where they talked about the PS. There are a lot of theories but I prefer the more rational. Here it is an extract of the journal Very Interesting where he talks about it:
"Imagine that you wake up and find you can not move a muscle, except the eyes, he feels a presence in the room which also seems to be pressing on your preventing chest breathing, hears noises and suffers as a shock: is suffering from sleep paralysis. Everything happens during sleep known as REM stands for Rapid Eye Movement, it is characterized by rapid eye movement. It is at this time when we dream, during which our bodies are paralyzed, which is a good measure of our brain prevent any movement of product from our sleep may harm us. But it may be that REM does not develop properly and start to wake up before it happens paralysis. The ensuing panic caused by this situation may be worsened by hallucinations hypnopompic, which occur naturally in the wake, sleep can also have hallucinations, this time called hypnagogic. This terror is so vivid it seems real ... "Sleep paralysis happens to 30% of the population, of which 5% is accompanied by visual hallucinations, tactile and audible"
Anyway, the first few times I was scared a lot and I still frightening, because not being able to wake up and move ... not cool at all, but now when that happens I think "Wow ... again, for nothing to wait until I wake up ...".
When I pass I try to relax, breathe deeply and try to make sudden movements to get awake, sometimes serves sometimes not. But the fact is that he never had tactile sensations until the next day. Yes, I had been seeing dark figures, hear sounds ... even once to be crawling on my dark room. But the other day I noticed a pressure in the legs ... as if someone had sat on me and was approaching towards me ... the feeling was new to me and I turned scare of cute xD
Anyway, just wanted to post it if there are people who have been the same, explain their experiences and give their point of view. I gave you mine ... now your turn!
